Meimei

Meimei is a charcoal and wood-fired restaurant on the Batu Bolong strip in Canggu, opened in late 2024 by the team behind YUKI. Executive chef Yudha Permana reworks traditional Southeast Asian recipes over fire, with dishes built for sharing. The menu runs from snacks such as pepes mackerel and roe in banana leaf and Papuan crab opor on toast, to sate skewers of Angus flat iron with peanut sauce and pork belly with palm nectar, plus raw and cured plates like line-caught fish with peanut nam jim. The bar pours cocktails built on local and Asian flavours, such as yuzu pandan and watermelon chili. Dinner starts at 5pm and the bar stays open until 2am, so it suits groups, date nights and late dinners. Reservations are taken through SevenRooms.
