How we work

Editorial Policy

This policy explains how we choose topics, identify sources, separate commercial relationships from editorial decisions and correct mistakes.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Selection and relevance

We prioritize places and topics that help readers plan a Bali trip: location, experience, value, practical usefulness and current reader interest. Inclusion is not a guarantee that a venue is the right choice for every traveler.

Sources and labels

We use first-hand contributor material where it exists, together with official venue information, booking platforms and other public sources. Copy supplied by a venue is labeled “From the venue.” Hotel copy sourced from Booking.com is labeled “Via Booking.com.” We avoid presenting supplied copy as an independent review.

Authors and accountability

A named byline links to a contributor page when an author record is available. Legacy or publication-level work is attributed to The Bali Guideline as an organization. Contributor biographies will expand as verified profile information is added.

Commercial relationships

Affiliate commissions and sponsored arrangements do not purchase a positive opinion. Affiliate links are marked for search engines and disclosed near booking actions. Sponsored content must be identified for readers. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates and corrections

Opening hours, prices, events and availability can change without notice. We update high-use pages when new information is available. To request a correction, email us with the URL, the incorrect detail and a reliable source for the replacement through the Contact page.
