The Elephant

The Elephant is a fully vegetarian restaurant at Hotel Taman Indrakila on Jalan Raya Sanggingan, about 2 km northwest of the Ubud Palace. Open since 2013, it sits on a terrace looking across jungle and the Campuhan Ridge. The kitchen follows an eco-minded, slow-food approach, with vegan dishes clearly marked and plenty of gluten-free choices. The menu runs from breakfast and coffee through to lunch and dinner plates drawing on Asian and European cooking, with fresh juices and drinks from the bar. It suits vegetarians and vegans, and anyone wanting a relaxed meal with a view away from the busy centre of Ubud. It opens daily from 8:30 AM to 10 PM.
