Naughty Nuri's was opened around 1995 on Jalan Raya Sanggingan, north-west of central Ubud, by American expat Brian Aldinger and his Javanese wife Isnuri Suryatmi. The original warung, fronted by a smoking grill, gave its name to later branches in Seminyak and abroad. The signature is barbecued pork spare ribs with Balinese seasoning, charred on the grill and served with chips or potato wedges. The menu also has pork satay, se'i pork, pork chops and burgers, and the bar is known for its martinis. Seating is casual and open-air by the road, and it suits a relaxed evening of ribs and drinks. Prices are higher than a typical local warung.
