About This Restaurant

Ji is the Japanese restaurant of Hotel Tugu Bali on Canggu Beach. It has two parts: Ji at Bale Sutra 1706, set inside a Kang Xi-period Chinese temple from 1706 that Tugu founder Anhar Setjadibrata rescued in Java and rebuilt here, and Ji Terrace by the Sea, a 400 square metre terrace on the upper floors with 180-degree ocean views. The menu is Japanese contemporary with Asian touches, led by sushi master Chef Nyoman Antara, alongside fine wines, sake and Asian-inspired cocktails. Cocktail masterclasses are held on request. It is open daily from 12pm to 11pm, with last meal orders at 10:30pm. The terrace is a popular sunset spot, so evening bookings are advised.
