Warung Chef Bagus Kuta

Warung Chef Bagus is a Balinese restaurant and cooking school on Jalan Bakung Sari in Kuta, run by chef Bagus, who started at Grand Hyatt Bali in 1989 and later cooked Balinese food promotions abroad and in Dubai hotels including Burj Al Arab. A second outlet, Chef Bagus 2, operates on Jalan Pratama in Nusa Dua. The kitchen is best known for grilled pork ribs, served with BBQ sauce, rice and Balinese sides. Rijsttafel sets combine pork, chicken, fish and prawn satay, ribs, chicken curry, pork in sweet soy sauce, vegetables with grated coconut and papaya salad, priced from about IDR 195,000 to 285,000. Chef Bagus also runs hands-on Balinese cooking classes. It suits meat lovers, groups sharing set menus and anyone wanting to learn Balinese cooking.
