About This Restaurant

La Plancha opened in 2010 on Mesari Beach, between Double Six and Jalan Dhyana Pura, as Bali's first beach bar in the style of a Spanish chiringuito. Its founder modelled it on the beach bars of his Spanish hometown. Days start with brunch from 10:00 (smoothie bowls, French toast, eggs Benedict, big breakfast), then move to plates, bowls, sharing platters and skewers from noon, with jugs of sangria, cocktails and beer buckets. The setting is the main draw: rows of bright Balinese umbrellas and bean bags on the sand facing the sunset, with music through the evening. It suits groups of friends, couples and families, and serves smoothies and juices for children.
